As Mayor of Briton Ferry, I am honoured to recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievement of The Friends of Jersey Park. This dedicated volunteer group has been awarded one of the nationβs highest honours by His Majesty King Charles III β one of only 231 awards granted across the entire United Kingdom in 2025.
This distinction is equivalent to an MBE, and it reflects the extraordinary commitment, passion, and service that our volunteers have given to Jersey Park and to the wider community. On behalf of Briton Ferry Town Council, I extend our heartfelt congratulations and deepest gratitude to The Friends of Jersey Park.
Their work has not only transformed a cherished local space but has also brought national recognition to our town. This award is a proud moment for Briton Ferry, and a shining example of what can be achieved when community spirit and dedication come together.
