Sian Williams along with her father Brian and brother Simon wanted to honour our Service Men & Women on Remembrance Day 2020 in Briton Ferry.
Sian has been working with Barry Cosker (Town Council Leader), Sylvia John (Deputy Leader) alongside members of Giants Grave Football Cub clearing the grounds of the Cenotaph, Briton Ferry during the summer and thought it would be a lovely idea to use the Poppies from last years display on the Brunel Bridge at Jersey Park. Noleen & Lee Jones of Community Arts Projects kindly allowed Sian to use them at the Cenotaph. Ann Mayers (Briton Ferry Community Shop) also gave a helping hand.
Due to COVID19 restrictions it has been impossible to arrange a project for this years Remembrance Day due to social distancing measures in place. Sian and her family have done a great job on behalf of Briton Ferry Town Council at the Cenotaph and hope it reflects the community of Briton Ferry.

To ensure that everyone can still get their poppy, we’ve developed an A4 poster of the iconic Remembrance Poppy that you can download, print, and display at home, perhaps in your front window.

If you can, please make your donation to the 2020 Poppy Appeal, whether it is a one-off donation or a regular gift.
We can only continue to provide these services with your help, so please donate what you can. This year, your donations are more vital than ever.
