Friday March 3rd saw a massive turnout to The Boot Room at Vernon Place Community Hub. The evening was dedicated to promoting the women’s game of football #hergametoo and #showracismtheredcard.
It was great to see the local girls football teams in attendance which included Llansawel Girls FC and Baglan Boys and Girls Club.
Boots were were donated from Baglan Boys and Girls Club U13s Yellows and Mosaic Professional Development.
Swansea City AFC Ladies attended the event to promote the game to the girls and to sign autographs, there was a great atmosphere and plenty of excitement on offer. The ladies in attendance from Swansea City AFC Ladies were Katy Hosford, Chelsea Herbert, Monet Legall and Megan Saunders who were innundated well done to them.
This has all been made possible by Karl Bradley, Nanette Radford, Kyle Sell and The Boot Room Team who give their time freely to ensure that any child who wants to play football has access to boots and kit.
The Boot Room is at the Vernon Place Community Hub every 2 weeks on a Friday evening between 5pm and 6.30pm next session will be March 17th.
